Dustin – Rounds 1 & 2 – Central Regional Trials Championship – 26th and 27th April

April 26th and 27th were rounds 1 and 2 of the Central regional Trials Championship, doubling as the Sooner Cup held in Tishomingo Oklahoma.

I arrived early on Friday afternoon and was able to get in some good practice while getting used to the new BTWICE flywheel weight and bash plate installed on the bike. The flywheel weight works great but it took a little getting used to as it changed the power of the bike a bit but the result is very good and I am happy with it

Saturday I started off a little shaky as I was still adjusting to the changes but it all came around quickly towards the end of the first loop.Saturday the sections were very technical and physical with not to many large obstacles but the sections were very good. I was able to shave my first loop score of 14 points to a single point for my second loop and 3 points on my third. I was very happy with my Saturday result and personal improvements as the day went on.

Sunday was not as technical but included much larger obstacles and the flow of the sections seemed to fit my riding style better. I was able to fight for the win all day and am very pleased with my result of 10 points for the day with an unfortunate mistake on my part of stalling the bike in one of the easier sections of the day.

I finished second overall for the weekend and my OSSA TR300i worked flawlessly!

I am happy to leave the weekend with the points lead in the Central Regional Championship, and look forward to the opening rounds of the NATC Moto Trials Championship in Colorado in just a few short weeks.

I send my thanks to OSSA USA and Lewisport USA for all the support and I look forward to seeing everybody in Colorado!
